What I do

The fix is only as good as the diagnosis.

Most small business owners can tell me what hurts. Few have had the time to trace it back to where it starts. That is the work I do first.

The quick approach is to watch how the work runs today and automate exactly that. I look at the whole business first and ask whether each step needs to exist. Often a few changes to the flow remove steps altogether, before anything gets built.

I also get to know what your company stands for. If your customers choose you because you handle the details for them, every fix has to protect that.

Then I point you to the fix with the highest return. I work with small businesses in any industry.

You don’t need the answer. You might just come in saying:

  4. The work

    If the answer is a build, I build it. If it is a process change, I lay it out step by step.

  5. Handoff

    Every project comes with a one-page guide to running it. Training is available if you want it.

About

Now I’m doing my own thing.

I spent eight years in a centralized senior role at a venture-backed tech start-up, optimizing, building and automating. Before that I was a director of operations in the real estate space for ten years.

My favorite part of that role was making the rounds to each team and hearing the relief when I had streamlined something painful for them. Doing this for small business owners is even more rewarding, because this is their livelihood.

I’m based in San Antonio, Texas, and I work with clients anywhere.
